Hillary-Michelle in 2016? Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama a 'dream team' in race

Political talk of Hillary-Michelle in 2016 as possible presidential candidates has become a top trending topic on search engines today, as the Washington Examiner reported this Wednesday, March 13, that while Hillary Clinton hasn’t spoken much yet about the 2016 Democratic presidential nominations, there’s already buzz of Michelle Obama joining the “dream team” as a very real female ticket in the polls.

Under the headline, “Hillary-Michelle in 2016? ‘Dream ticket’ floated”, sources report that there has been public political discussion this week of two potential female presidential candidates working together, Hillary Clinton and First Lady Michelle Obama.

"All due respect for President Obama and Vice President Biden, but that would truly be a dream team for America," said former Clinton spokeswoman Karen Finney. "Both women are proven effective leaders who've raise children, so dealing with Congress would be a snap.”

"More than anything else, this reflects the growing awareness that it is time for the glass ceiling of the last old boys club to be firmly shattered," Democratic strategist Chris Lehane said as well.

And while the Hillary-Michelle in 2016 rumors may be making headlines, the rumors aren’t just talk, added the report. There have already been bumper stickers made, saying “2016: Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton,” as well as “First First Lady Ticket for President!” In fact, the number of sales of Michelle-Hillary bumper stickers saw well over a 50% increase this 2013, with a particular spike of popularity this March.

"I really look forward to the day when a woman can run for the presidency without so much parody and fanfare," said Donna Brazile, a former Al Gore campaign manager.

Strategists for the Democratic party assert that Hillary Clinton is a shoe-in to get onto the ticket for the next presidential race. In addition to currently being well ahead of other male candidates in the polls, she also has “vast experience” in both politics and the White House, added the report.

While the Michelle Obama rumors are only that for now, past advisor Terry McAuliffe revealed to Secrets that Hillary Clinton will ultimately make up her mind whether she will run for president sometime next year. President Barack Obama has also been notably supportive of Clinton.
