Two years after suspending his campaign due to multiple allegations of sexual harrassment, Herman Cain continues to make excuses and has arrived at the mother of all conclusions: Cain was a victim of the Devil.
In an exclusive interview with RealClearReligion, the famed National Restaurant Association CEO, Tea Party favorite and catapult enthusiast stated that he didn't challenge allegations that he sexually harassed at least four women, some of them anonymous, while at the helm of that organization because it would have been a "huge distraction" from his campaign.
A presidential campaign "is like drinking from a fire hydrant," said Cain.
Cain blamed the media for not "doing their due diligence," insisted all three women who accused him are "liars," and even charged that, during Gloria Allred's press conference with accuser Sharon Bialek, no one has even seen her affidavits.
Finally, Cain speculated as to who may have orchestrated the allegations and concluded that it could only have been the work of one person: the Devil.
"It made me realize that there was a force bigger than right," said Cain.
What has been realized for real as a result of this is that the size and weight of Herman Cain's ego have been greatly underestimated.
