Haunting photo of starved German shepherd senior in need of rescue

Ten years old and seriously starved; he is currently at Carson Shelter.
Saving Carson Shelter Dogs

Volunteers at the Carson Shelter located in Gardena, California don't even know how this ten-year-old German shepherd mix is able to walk; he is so undernourished and therefore very weak in his hind quarters. Described as exceptionally sweet, it's heartbreaking to think his past owner just neglected him to this dangerously starved physical condition.

Found as a stray on August 1, and available for rescue on August 11, volunteers want to help this dog have a loving, comfortable retirement.
