Hannity says he's not leaving Cuomo's 'socialist state of New York' tomorrow

Talk show host Sean Hannity said he has spoken with his wife and will leave the state of New York as the result of a vicious attack by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who released his inner fascist and declared that conservatives who oppose abortion and believe in the Second Amendment are extremists who "have no place" in his state. But, he told Greta van Susteren on Tuesday, he's not planning to leave the "United Socialist State of New York" tomorrow.

Earlier in the week, Hannity said he discussed the issue with his wife and the two are planning to leave New York someday -- just not today.

"Look, I have contractual obligations," he told Dana Perino. "I can’t leave here."

The talk show host said he has children in school and about 100 people who depend on him.

But at some point, he intends to leave the state where he pays about 62 percent of his income in taxes.

“It’s almost like I am facilitating the robbery of hard-earned money that I’m making, and I’m not going to do it anymore,” he said. “As soon as I am able, sometime probably when my son graduates from high school, I’m getting out of here as quick as I can.”

Cuomo made his offensive remarks last Friday during an interview with with Susan Arbetter on “The Capitol Pressroom.”

"The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE Act — it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are," he said.

Translation: Those who support the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms and oppose abortion are extremists who have no place in his state.

Cuomo's office bactracked, claiming the governor didn't say what he said, adding that Cuomo respects those with different opinions.
