When you look at recent mass shootings that have occurred recently there is one specific incident that is very rarely if ever mentioned by the liberal media and Gun Control advocates.
The Ft. Hood Shooting is never cited or discussed or even mentioned by the Anti's and Gun grabbers like Bloomberg, Schumer, Boxer, Feinstein, McCarthy or Cuomo. They only cite the Tucson, Aurora and Sandy Hook events as reason to restrict law abiding citizens their rights. WHY?
One must make a few assumptions to uncover why they rarely if ever cite the Ft. Hood mass shooting in their quest to deny law abiding citizens their 2nd Amendment rights.
- It has not received the attention nor coverage that other mass shooting have received because it occurred on a military installation while Obama was the Commander in Chief.
- It has not received the attention nor coverage that other mass shooting have received because the perpetrator was Muslim and it is not politically correct because the President himself sympathizes with the Muslim plight across the world.
- It has not received the attention nor coverage that other mass shooting have received because the victims were military personnel and they just don't have the same impact as civilians and children for good demagoguery.
Regardless of your thoughts or politics this was a mass shooting despite how the President, his administration or the lame stream state run media want to categorize it. What's interesting and even more intriguing is the WHY?
Why has the media and many of the gun control anti's and gun grabbers stayed clear of calling this exactly what it was, a mass shooting or better yet an "Act of Terrorism" that was in the form of a mass shooting? WHY?
First off and most importantly this President and his administration didn't want the cloud of a "Terror Attack" hanging over or clouding their image. Secondly, the umbrella of work place violence is a better niche to place this incident because after all the military and people serving comprise a small percentage of the US population approximately 2% if that, so no real risk to the President electorally speaking. Lastly not calling this what it truly was both a mass shooting and an "act of terror" fits the mantra that only civilian shootings work best to truly demagogue this issue and advance gun control legislation.
Despite extensive evidence that Hasan was in communication with al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki prior to the attack, the military has denied the victims a Purple Heart and is treating the incident as "workplace violence" instead of "combat related" or terrorism.
Thirteen people were killed, including a pregnant soldier, and 32 others wounded in the Nov. 5, 2009 rampage by the accused shooter, Major Nidal Hasan, at the Army base in Killeen, Texas. Hasan now awaits a military trial on charges of premeditated murder and attempted murder. More HERE.
It's interesting to see now after the Aurora, CO and Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings that the Ft. Hood victims and their families are seeing and experiencing first hand the one-sided and blatant bias of the media in their covering of these very similar but different mass shootings. One of these shootings is NOT like the others.
Some survivors of the 2009 Fort Hood massacre say the government has neglected them.
On Tuesday, the same night President Barack Obama gave his State-of-the-Union speech, ABC's "Nightline" was to broadcast interviews with disgruntled survivors, including a Fort Hood civilian police officer who accuses the government of betrayal.
"Not to the least little bit have the victims been taken care of," former Sgt. Kimberly Munley, who was shot three times, told ABC News. "In fact, they've been neglected." More HERE.
Why is this so surprising to people?
The claims in ABC's story appear to recap the complaints in a lawsuit filed in November by dozens of Fort Hood shooting victims and victims' family members against government officials, Hasan and the estate of Anwar Awlaki, a New Mexico native who became an Al Qaeda leader and an influential pedagogue for would-be terrorists -- including, allegedly, Hasan. Let face it the lame stream media in this country will do whatever they can to advance an agenda and a use template that is filled with bias and clearly non-supportive of law abiding citizens rights to keep and bear arms.
Just speak to the victims of Ft. Hood and see if they feel they have been treated fairly compared to the victims and family members of other mass shootings.
We all know what the answer will be!
