Gug Underwater brings us the world of sharks

The world beneath the sea thrills and amazes on canvas for an evening meant to enlighten gallery goers.

Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the Gug Underwater Gallery located at 1519 E. Commercial Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and Shark Savers will come together for a benefit to highlight preservation, art and education.

Shark Savers is a 501 (c)3 Charity with over 25,000 members. The common goal and overriding mission is to save the world's dwindling shark and manta populations through education, establishing sanctuaries, fighting against the shark fin soup trade and empowering divers as advocates and citizen scientists for sharks, our mysterious creatures of the deep.

Chris Gug of the Gug Underwater Gallery uses photography as his means to share the tender beauty of the most feared predator of the ocean, the shark.

Works of art will intrigue you and put you at one with the deep and spine-tingling views capture these creatures in their familiar habitat.

A $10 suggested donation at the door goes to Shark Savers and 20% of all art sales from the evening will be donated. Wine and appetizers will be served. Gug will release a new shark limited edition over the course of the evening. Buy a raffle ticket and you might go home with a 60 x 40" gallery wrap.

This promises to be a rewarding and educational evening for all. RSVP on Facebook or by calling the gallery directly at (954)579-8096.
