Shawn Fonteno may have hinted at the first DLC expansion pack for the recently-released Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 video game, “GTA 5.” According to a report by IGN on Oct. 12, the voice actor behind Franklin Clinton revealed that he previously wanted to play the role as Carl “CJ” Johnson from “GTA: San Andreas” during a panel at this year’s New York Comic Con.
He went on to state that he was not to upset about the casting as he and Young Malay, the voice actor that was chosen to be Carl “CJ” Johnson, are currently working on an unnamed project together. However, Shawn Fonteno quickly changed the subject when he was further questioned about the collaboration.
“GTA 5” is set in Los Santos, which is the name for one of the big cities from “GTA: San Andreas.” As a result, an appearance from Carl “CJ” Johnson in a future DLC expansion pack may be possible.
The same Rockstar North studio that developed “GTA 5” was also responsible for developing “GTA: San Andreas,” which was first released for the Playstation 2 on Oct. 26, 2004. Rockstar Games, the publisher of both titles, has not yet announced any plans for releasing DLC expansions for the single-player campaign. The company is focusing on improving “Grand Theft Auto Online” and adding more contents to the multiplayer mode.
