The development team at Rockstar North is currently looking at temporary solutions for players to avoid data from being lost before coming up with a more “permanent fix.” The company also assured fans that they “have not forgotten about the requests for restoration,” stating that they are coming up with several options for those who got impacted by the glitches. You can take a look at some screenshots from “Grand Theft Auto Online” in the slideshow near the top of this article and the latest update from the Rockstar Support website below:

We are continuing to investigate the causes of the lost progress and what can be done to minimize the impact until a permanent fix is in place. Also, we have not forgotten about the requests for restoration. We are in the process of determining the options for addressing the issues for those players who have been affected.

A few of the solutions have already revealed by Rockstar Games in regards to preventing lost characters and more in “Grand Theft Auto Online.” Players are encouraged to not play the multiplayer mode if they get the “Rockstar Cloud Servers are unavailable” error message. They should also exit to the single-player mode after an online session is finished to ensure that progress is properly saved. The permanent fix for the issues should be coming in a future patch update.
