The terms "Grammy Awards" and "Bahamas cruise" have probably never been used in the same sentence before, but that's changing now that the Recording Academy has put together Grammy Festival at Sea: Women Who Rock, which sails from November 4-8.

So far, the lineup for the cruise is excellent, featuring several Grammy-nominated women from the past few decades. Joan Osborne, Shawn Colvin, Estelle, Skylar Grey, Emmylou Harris, Heart, the Indigo Girls, and Mindi Abair are all confirmed for the cruise, with more names to come in subsequent weeks.

Osborne and Colvin provided two of the more memorable performances on the Grammy stage by female singer-songwriters in history. Osborne delivered a gritty rendition of 'One of Us' in 1996, while Colvin sang 'Sunny Came Home' in 1998 as part of a medley with Paula Cole and Sarah McLachlan. Colvin's track won both Record and Song of the Year.

The cruise takes off aboard the Norwegian Pearl from Miami and heads to Grand Bahama Island and Nassau, Bahamas. The Grammy Festival at Sea website promises that guests will have opportunities to interact with the performers.

The ship will have multiple stages, more than a dozen bars, pools and hot tubs, a casino, bowling alley, and rock climbing wall. Tickets for the Grammy cruise are on sale now at, starting at $800 plus $225 in taxes and fees.
