Goo Goo Dolls to release new album 'Magnetic' on May 7

On Jan. 22 the American rock band Goo Goo Dolls announced that their tenth studio album, "Magnetic" will be released on May 7 via Warner Bros. Records. The recently also released the album's lead single, "Rebel Beat" which you can listen to here.

The Goo Goo Dolls recorded their new album "Magnetic" in New York, London and Los Angeles with Gregg Wattenberg (Train), Rob Cavallo (Green Day), John Shanks (Bon Jovi), and Greg Wells (Katy Perry).

In an issued press release lead vocalist John Rzeznik said, "I've had such a great time and learned so much from the amazingly talented people who worked on it with me. I think that positive energy comes across on the songs. Writing and recording 'Magnetic' changed my thinking about making music and doing it in a fun way."

The Goo Goo Dolls' upcoming tenth studio album, "Magnetic" will be the band's first full length studio album released since "Something for the Rest of Us". That album was released on Aug. 31, 2010 and it debuted at No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. Their new single "Rebel Beat" will be officially released on iTunes beginning Feb. 12.
