Designers of the decade are getting ready to debut their Fall/Winter 2013 Collections in front of fashion critics, media and celebrities in the fashion capital of the world, New York City.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is preparing New York City for a week full of fresh beginnings and limitless possibilities. This marks the next chapter in a novel of nouveau style.

This past Wednesday, January 9, 2013, IMG Fashion, producers of the event, announced the preliminary lineup of emerging talent, established brands and returning designers who will retreat to Lincoln Center, the hub of fashion collections, from February 7-14, 2013.

In the words of Jarrad Clark, Global Director of Production, IMG Fashion Events and Properties,”Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is truly the world’s stage for international designers to introduce their collections to the American market and establish relationships with a global audience of media and industry professionals. Each season signifies a new trend and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week gets the momentum going as it kicks off a series of fashion weeks around the world from Paris to Milan to Australia.

Not only will there be close to 100,000 guests eagerly making their way to the Center but with the birth of technology, fashion enthusiasts around the globe can watch the collections be unveiled on their smartphones, laptops and all mobile devices. They can receive up to the minute highlights from the most popular shows and tips on what the most popular trends of the season seem to reveal.

Business becomes energized in the city as studies by Fordham University have shown that an estimated $40 million dollars are contributed annually to the Lincoln Center area from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week guests which only solidifies that this event is a key contributor to the local economy as it generates massive revenue figures.
