According to reports on Jan 13, 2013, a Texas radio station incorrectly broadcasted a message that former U.S. Preident George H. W. Bush has died.
The former President has been in the hospital recently, but he isn't dead.
According to the Dallas Observer, radio station WBAP in Texas received some news that George H. W. Bush died and they sent out an e-mail to their staff that read, "The Death of a President: George H.W. Bush. Our nation's 41st president, George H.W. Bush has passed away in Houston."
Later, the officials of the radio station realized its the mistake and sent out another message that read, "A message erroneously reporting the death of President George H.W. Bush was sent out moments ago by WBAP News," it said. "Mr. Bush has not passed away. We sincerely apologize for this error,"
The Travellers Today wrote, "The radio station creates quick obituaries for famous people before their death so that they could be released shortly after they die.
"The news team heard that Bush had been transferred to the ICU so they prepared the obituary in case he passed away, but an error with the email system caused the blast to be sent to the station's email subscribers.
"The message was never discussed on the air but the radio station staff realized the mistake when people started to call in asking about the death."
