Halloween Dolls: Gene Marshall, Madra Lord & Trent Osborne
When you think Halloween dolls, Halloween Barbie dolls and some Madame Alexander dolls may come to mind for the ghoulish October holiday, but Gene Marshall, Madra Lord, and their friend Trent Osborne have also been issued as Halloween dolls worth mentioning.
My Favorite Witch Gene Marshall Doll
In 1997, the Ashton-Drake Galleries issued the limited "My Favorite Witch" Gene doll as the souvenir doll for the Newark N.J. convention. Gene was a vixen as well as a limited edition of 350 dolls dressed in a form-fitting orange dress with a full black dotted net overdress, matching pointy hat and black mask.
Witch, Witch, Witch Madra Lord Doll
Madra Lord got her Halloween costume in 2004 when the Exclusive Limited Edition "Witch, Witch, Witch" Madra Lord costume was released. Madra's Halloween costume featured a black velvet bodice with a revealing black and purple skirt, removable short, black cape, pointed cap, a purple mask, and a special trick-or-treat-bag just for Madra. Circa 1946, the rare "Witch, Witch, Witch" Madra Lord doll was on display recently at the Golden Age of Doll Couture convention in Nashville.
The Devil is in the Details Trent Osborne Doll
Accompanying Madra Lord in 2004 was "The Devil is in the Details" Trent Osborne doll. Dressed in a red devil suit, with reversible cape, vest, shirt, and red mask, Trent was devilishly handsome. Like Madra's "Witch, Witch, Witch" ensemble, Trent's "The Devil is in the Details" costume was circa 1946. More photos in the slideshow.
