What would the 2012 MTV Movie Awards be without the anthem of summer as part of the show? The audience of the award show was in for a real treat on Sunday night as they watched the antics of Russell Brand and saw award after award being passed out, but that wasn’t all. There was some great music too. The band Fun along with Janelle Monae performed live for the crowd at the Gibson Ampitheatre in Universal City, California.
Taking the stage, the two artists performed the song We Are Young. With strong vocals and everyone in the room elated to be part of the show, it was a moment that had the live audience caught up in the excitement. The song, first started having heavy song play around the Super Bowl, but after picking up enthusiasm from the fans, it has been deemed one of the biggest singles of the summer.
Complete with balloons, lights and lots of talent, the fans at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards got a chance to appreciate the summer anthem and check out the chaos on stage.
