Is “Friends” returning to TV for season 11 nearly 10 years after ending it’s run on NBC? Rumors are running wild that the Central Perk gang are getting back together for real this time, Hollywood News Daily reported on Dec. 18.
According to the report, the entire cast is on board, but it’s Jennifer Aniston’s decision that is holding up the project.
Sources are claiming that “Friends” may return for an entire season, a reunion special, or a movie depending on what the cast is willingly to do.
It seems like that Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow would be on board for nearly anything, but it’s Jennifer Aniston who has the fate of a “Friends” reunion in her hands.
“It’s all really down to Jennifer and her schedule. If she really wants to do it, it will happen. Most likely it’ll be a one-off special or a movie version,” a source told OK! Magazine.
Other TV shows have come back for more seasons or movies long after leaving television. “Sex and The City,” Arrested Development,” “Entourage,” and “Veronica Mars” are all examples of what fan interest can generate.
What do you think about the reports that “Friends” may be coming back for season 11, a reunion special, or a movie? Are you excited?
