Free Oscar app: Follow the 2013 Academy Awards with live app (Photos)

You can download an official app here to follow the 2013 Oscars show live. The official Oscars® app is available on iPhone®, iPad®, iPod touch®, Android and Kindle Fire.
The Oscars app has the following features that are always available:

• Access info on nominees, movie trailers, exclusive videos, and photos

• Watch hosted specials on fashion and nominated films and actors

• Cast and share your virtual ballot with My Picks

When the Oscars show is on, these features are live:

• Watch your favorite celebrities as they walk the Red Carpet

• Follow the winners backstage in the Dolby Theatre

• See the stars mingle on Hollywood’s biggest night

The Oscar app producers say the app is the “ultimate backstage pass.” The app will include over a dozen live backstage and Red Carpet video streams. It is mean as a companion, not a substitute for the live Oscar telecast.

Through the app’s “Watch Mode” you can listen to the Academy Award reporters. Through the “Direct Mode,” you an control which cameras to watch.

The official Oscars App is available for free on the following devices:
all Android 4.0 devices in Google Play, including Samsung’s Galaxy Note® II, Galaxy Note® 10.1 and Galaxy S® III, as well as the new Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD in the Amazon appstore for Android. It will also continue to be available on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch in the App Store®.
