On February 5, the Institute for Responsible Technology (IRT) extended a free on-line screening to the public of the award-winning, independent feature-length film, “Genetic Roulette – The Gamble of Our Lives.“
Based on the book by Dr. Jeffrey Smith, “Genetic Roulette – The Gamble of Our Lives” will be streamed free to the public through Feb. 10.
The mission of the Institute for Responsible Technology is to educate people on the health dangers of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in foods. They describe their non-profit organization as “the most comprehensive source of GMO health risk information on the web.”
“Genetic Roulette—The Gamble of Our Lives” was just awarded the Top Transformational Film of 2012 by AwareGuide.
'More than 15,000 people from 50 countries voted for 30 films, including three on this year’s Academy Award shortlist. But Genetic Roulette was the 'clear winner' by a wide margin.'
Genetic Roulette also won 2012 Movie of the Year by the Solari Report.
This film is educational, interdisciplinary, and suitable for middle school and high school students to watch at home or in school with their families and peers.
In today's announcement, IRT stated,
'In celebration of all those who voted (and whose lives were transformed by the movie), we are extending the free screening through February 10th.
It’s time to transform the world.'
IRT also offers a free “Non-GMO Shopping Guide” and free resources for educators.
