Four days of free Kindle downloads for author Matthew Bracken’s “Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista” are being offered beginning this morning on Amazon.com. The free period will last through Thursday.
“My main goal with this is to get the 'Enemies Trilogy' downloaded by folks who have never heard of them,” Bracken had earlier advised friends and readers on his Facebook page announcing the special promotion.
This is the second novel in Bracken’s “Enemies” trilogy, described by the author as “bleeding-edge dystopian thrillers.” It makes, this correspondent wrote when reviewing it, “a harsh prediction of where this country is headed should the unchecked flow of illegal immigration not be halted and reversed.”
As such, it’s not an easy book to face up to, and is, in this era of suppressing and attacking anyone who dares challenge “progressive” correctness, a brave one. The author was fully aware of the charged criticism some would level on him for reacting to existing movements and extrapolating existing trends into a potential near-future scenario.
Bracken’s first book in the series, “Enemies Foreign and Domestic,” was offered for free downloads from October 14 through 17. The third book, “Foreign Enemies and Traitors,” will become available for four days on October 28.
Readers can get their free Kindle download of “Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista,” by clicking here. For those who don’t have a Kindle, Amazon provides free reading apps for PC, Mac and devices.
While there is no shortage to those taking advantage of Bracken’s offer, supporters of his work need to understand that just taking from him and giving nothing in return is counterproductive to those laboring in the cause of liberty. There is a price that moral beneficiaries of this gift will recognize and gladly pay, and that’s to not just be consumers, but to be force multipliers, and to help Bracken attain his goal for doing this in the first place: To get his work in front of people who would otherwise never hear of it.
That means not just downloading the books, but encouraging everyone within their spheres of influence to do the same.
