Spring flowers are blooming all over West Michigan. Celebrate by crocheting up some of these cute, dainty granny squares featuring little blue flowers. The example shown was made using worsted weight yarn and a G hook and measures about 3 1/2 inches square; finished dimensions will vary depending on yarn selection, hook size, and tension.
Forget-Me-Not Mini Granny Square
Ch 5; sl st in first ch to form ring.
R1: Working in ring, sc 8
R2: Sc 2 in each sc around
R3: *Dc 3 in next sc; sl st in next sc; dc 3 in next sc; ch 1, skipping next sc* around, sl st into next stitch and fasten off for color change.
R4: Sl st new color into one of the ch spaces in the last round. *Dc 3 in ch space; ch 3; dc in sl st between petals in last round; ch 3* around, sl st into next stitch and fasten off for color change.
R5: Sl st new color into the space between the 1st and 2st dc in one of the 3 dc clusters. *Dc 2 between 1st and 2nd dc of cluster; ch 2; dc 2 in space between 2nd and 3rd dc; ch 1; dc 3 in 3 ch space; ch 1; dc 3 in 3 ch space, ch 1* around, sl st into next stitch.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
