Spring is in full swing, and flowers are blooming across West Michigan.  Celebrate by crocheting this cute flower brooch!  You can pin it to your lapel, wear it on a hat, use it to embellish the purse, or put it anywhere else your imagination can cook up.  It is assembled from five separate elements: a small flower, a larger flower, a set of leaves, a button and a pin back.

The example shown was crocheted with worsted weight yarn and a size G hook and measures about 3 inches across.  Finished size will vary depending on your yarn selection, hook size, and tension.

Assembly

Sew the pieces together so that they are offset; the petals of the larger flower should be between the petals of the smaller flower, and the leaves should be positioned between the petals of the larger flower.  Sew a button to the center of the flower.  Sew a pin back to the backside of the flower.

Voila!  A beautiful flower brooch!
