Free admission on Presidents' Day in Brooklyn

Though the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is normally closed on Mondays, it is going to be open this Monday February 18th, for Presidents' Day. Even better, it will be offering free admissions from 10 am to 4:30 pm.. Normal admission is as follows:

Adults $10
Seniors (65 and over) $5
Students 12+ with valid IDs $5
Children under 12 Free
Tuesdays Free
Saturdays 10–12 noon** Free
* Admission to Sakura Matsuri is $20 for adults, $15 for students/seniors. AHS reciprocal admissions are not valid on festival dates.

The 52-acre grounds include over 10,000 taxa of plants, Even when the weather outside is not conducive to garden strolls, you can stay warm in the Steinhardt Conservatory, which houses the C.V. Starr Bonsai Museum, three climate-themed plant pavilions, a white cast-iron and glass aquatic plant house, and an art gallery.

This week, the garden offers February Break Discovery Days on February 18–20 |from 10 a.m. until noon with special fun, hands-on activities for children who can get their own plant to bring home.

The New York Botanical Garden will also be open on Presidents' Day, but it is not offering free admission for the occasion. You can get in free there on Wednesdays.
