France to legalize a marijuana spray for aching muscles

The French Government is considering a move to legalize a marijuana based spray. The spray is for the treatment of aching muscles.

Sativex, is a marijuana based spray that is already available in other European countries. If France follows through with legalizing the spray it would become the first authorized medical marijuana product in the country.

Sativex is commonly used by patients suffering with multiple sclerosis. The minority party otherwise known as the Greens party supports decriminalizing medical marijuana.

Legalizing medical marijuana is a heated issue in the French government just as it is in the United States. Last year, France’s Education Minister Vincent Pelon suggested the government should discuss the legalization of medical marijuana.

Sativex is marketed by Bayer whose slogan is, “Science for a better life.”
