Kerri Cronk is best know for reporting the news as a well-liked anchor on Fox 13's "Good Day Utah," but has recently made headlines herself after becoming the victim of a hit-and-run accident on August 5th. Cronk was riding her bicycle near the mouth of Emigration Canyon when a white car pulled out from a driveway and struck her.
Cronk told her Fox 13 colleagues in a TV interview that she saw what was coming and tried to avoid the impact by swerving, but was still hit by the rear portion of the vehicle. The driver did not stop after running her down; a passerby found her lying unconscious on the ground and called 911. Kerri was rushed to the hospital, where she was treated for serious injuries including concussion and a broken neck. She is now recuperating at her home. Cronk was wearing a helmet, which probably saved her from more grave injuries.
