The CEO of world renowned Italian fashion house Missoni, Vittorio Missoni, is missing. The plane, BN2 Islander YV2615, went missing on the morning of January 4, 2013. According to the Prensa Director of Interior Ministry and Justice of Caracas Venezuela, Jorge Galindo, the plane was carrying Vittorio Missoni, his wife Maurizia Castiglioni, Guido Foresti, Elda Scalveuzi, pilot Hernan Merchan and co-pilot Juan Carlos Ferre Milano.

The plane went missing, over the coastal islands of Los Roques, one half hour after take-off. Venezuelan emergency workers have been in search of the plane ever since. Hundreds of workers, several aircraft and boats are included in the search.
Vittorio Missoni, age 58, is the son of Ottavio and Rosita Missoni, the founder of the Missoni fashion label, which was created in 1953. Vittorio Missoni is the chief executive officer/arketing director of the Missoni fashion house. His brother, Luca, is technical director. His sister, Angela, is artistic director.
The Missoni fashion house carries ready-to-wear and haute couture fashions for men, women and children; perfume; and interior designs for Mazda cars and two luxury hotels for Rezidor Hotel Group.
Vittorio Missoni’s brother, Luca, immediately flew to Los Roques to assist in the search and rescue efforts.
