TV personality Sharon Osbourne has struggled with her weight all her life. Visiting "The Doctors" talk show on October 14, the now-slender star revealed how she billowed up to 230 pounds at one point. Now she's found what she feels is the only diet that really works for her: Atkins.
“I used to be 230 pounds. I’ve tried everything from powders to potions to diet pills, to having a band put on my stomach, which nearly killed me,” Sharon said bluntly.
After trying all those diets, Sharon contends that "the only thing that I have managed to keep my weight off is Atkins.” And she's honest about her views on food: "I like to eat. I don’t want to not eat,” added Sharon.
Agreeing with Sharon: Kim Kardashian, who recently announced that she's using the plan to lose her post-pregnancy pounds. Read how Kim recently revealed her "love" for the Atkins diet by clicking here.
Sharon is a spokeswoman for the Atkins diet and writes a blog for the company. Earlier in October, she said that it's been a year since starting the high protein, low-carbohydrate food plan.
"I cannot believe it has been a whole year since I got started on Atkins. Time has flown by, and so much has changed," Sharon blogged.
"I’m feeling more confident now, I'm much more comfortable in my clothes. My health has improved, and I’m walking more than ever," added the famous Mrs. O.
In addition, Sharon said that she no longer goes "running off to the fridge for an ice cream" when she's upset, and has had abstained from "potato chips and fizzy drinks" for a year.
