Former Notre Dame quarterback goes into the moonshine whiskey business (Video)

On January 7 the Notre Dame fighting Irish will take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the BCS Championship game, and while the team from South Bend prepares for what will be a tough game on the field, one former Notre Dame quarterback is making news for himself in the whiskey business.

Windy Hill Spirits, launched by Former University of Notre Dame quarterback Pat Dillingham has begun distilling whiskey in the heart of Tennessee – Nashville.

Notre Dame fans remember Dillingham as the walk-on quarterback from 2002 who hurled a 60 yard pass to Amaz Battle in 2002 to go ahead of, and defeat the Michigan State Spartans 21-17.

“There’s no national brand of moonshine whiskey today. Our fathers drink Jack Daniels but our generation does not have a whiskey to call our own. We think our generation is the niche, said Dillingham.”

Dillingham's 103-proof moonshine whiskey, has only one difference compared to the moonshine whiskey distilled in the backwoods of the Great Smokey Mountains...his is made in a factory.

The company hopes to launch within the next year.
