You love flowers and want to learn flower arrangements in the near future. People who have a sound road map in their mind must, first of all, save money which should be spent for the tuition of flower design classes. If you are in this kind of stage, you are now in phase one of learning floral art. Namely you are now earning money to learn flower arrangements (Stage of “Earn to learn”).
Once you have saved a sufficient amount of money which can be spent for the tuition of floral design classes, you can join flower arrangement school or take floral design lessons from a professional floral designer or flower arrangement instructor. If you have already reached this kind of stage, you are now in phase two. Namely you are now learning floral designs to earn money from floral business in the near future (Stage of “Learn to earn”).
Your goal must be earning decent skills of floral arrangements with which you can start your own floral business such as running your own floral shop, engaging in the business of wedding flower decorations, some other independent floral designer, working for a florist as a floral decorator or offering your own flower arrangement classes.
No matter what kind of floral business you want to engage in, you are required to earn a reasonable level of skills for floral decorations while you are learning at a floral design school or taking flower arranging lessons from an independent floral art instructor.
At the point of starting to take lessons, we find two kinds of students. One is a full time student and the other is a part time student. Full time student is not working and they concentrate on learning floral designs by attending lessons so frequently. Part time student takes lessons by finding a spare time while she keeps working. The majority of students of our school are working as a full time or part time employee. Even if they are still working, they can take weekend lessons or evening lessons at our school although it takes a little bit longer time to complete a course.
Even if they saved a sufficient amount of money for the tuition, they cannot completely quit their job seemingly because they are concerned about a future income and don’t want to lose a current job. This is quite understandable because there is no guarantee that she/he will be successful in the new job (as a floral shop owner or flower decorator etc). Even if she is on the right path towards success, it may take lots of time to reach the stage of making profit from a new business. It looks like this kind of concern makes them hesitate to quit their current job.
What is going to happen in the next stage ? Namely after learning flower arrangements and earning reasonable skills of floral decoration, what are they going to do ? Some students start their own floral shop. Some students start spending more time and energy for running their floral shop (which they owned before joining our school) by making the best use of floral designing skills earned at our school. Some go back to their home country and start offering their own flower arranging classes. Some do wedding floral decorations for their own weddings. It looks like many of our students are doing the same job as before even after earning flower arranging skills. These people learned floral designs as a hobby OR they wanted to earn skill which may help earn money at the time of losing their current job.
They consider it a BACK UP JOB. This must be a PEACE OF MIND and they may think learning floral design as INSURANCE just in case they lose a current job. Quite frankly speaking, I have no idea whether or not this way of planning works out or not.
The bottom line is it needs a brave decision to start a new job or new business and people are apt to hesitate to change a job no matter what kind of jot it is.
