FIRE Art Biennale Las Vegas Hosts First Spring Extravaganza

It was a global event when FIRE Art Biennale Las Vegas hosted its first annual Spring Extravaganza showcasing applied and visual arts at the ACT Nightclub in the Palazzo Feb. 16. More than 40 international artists from Israel, Russia, Ukraine as well as local Las Vegas artists participated in the festival with goals of strengthening international cultural links with Las Vegas and benefit the World Chess Federation Initiative for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

"We are very excited to be hosting the Spring Extravaganza festival," said co-founder Lena Romanova. "This is our first festival in Las Vegas and we are looking to have it as a recurring event to introduce the city with the best of international and local applied and visual art. The Festival will further open Las Vegas to an international arena.”

Rather than the typical red carpet, Anna Olga Aristova of Couture Visuals photographed the guests in a high fashion setting. “I want real people to be able to experience what it feels like to be a celebrity or a professional model and to have photographs that look like pages from glamorous magazines.”

Entertainment included belly dancer, teacher and spokesperson Amira known for incorporating fire into her performances as well as DJs spinning music all night. Origin India provided the food including vegan choices and Southern Wine & Spirits paired the evening with a variety of wines.
