Only last month the first composite sketch of Christian Grey was revealed to excited “Fifty Shades of Grey” fans with mixed results. While the sketch artist drew it with several actors in mind—based off of characteristics of actors that fans had said they’d envisioned the bedroom billionaire to look like—many said that the picture was not quite the image of Christian Grey they would want to see cast in the book-to-movie adaptation.
Recently this week, the first “real” sketch of female lead Anastasia Steele has made its way into the public eye as well. Revealed courtesy of “Hollywood.com” this Wednesday morning, this Anastasia Steele sketch offers a light and airy look at the bestselling erotic romance book’s main character.
The social media site reports they feel it is a fairly accurate representation, but interestingly enough offers an “un-Kristen Stewart-like” look into the fictional character, who EL James said was initially based off Bella Swan from the “Twilight Saga.”
The drawing was made by a sketch artist who tried to follow the descriptions given in the novel to the closest degree, as well as from an objective point of view. With the first “real” photo complete, “Hollywood.com” went on to make some casting choices of their own for who may star in the role.
As featured in the slideshow above, “Hollywood.com” reported their five closest celebrity lookalikes compared to the first “real” Anastasia Steele sketch. The actress who most closely resembled the photo was said to be Emilia Clarke, followed by Mila Kunis. Model Lara Stone came in third in relation to the sketch, while Leighton Meester and Selena Gomez rounded out the top five of Anastasia Steele celebrity lookalikes.
No doubt that “Fifty Shades of Grey” fans and readers have sharp eyes and an imagination of the blue-eyed Ana of their own. Do you think that the photo sketch might be a good representation of Christian Grey’s innocent lover between the pages and the sheets, and her character's upcoming take to the big screen?
