Hate is the answer, right? Who can hate Israel the most, Hamas or Fatah? Is that the contest and way forward? Absolutely not. If Palestinians continue to pursue this line of illogic, the people will not achieve anything. In fact, the constant war with words matters greatly in the universe where the free world is taking sides. The free world will not stand for certain things and here is a list:
- The free world will not stand for political groups that are driven by hate and fear.
- The free world will not stand for terrorism by ideological groups, religious or otherwise that are intolerant of democratic principles, freedom and liberty as expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
- The free world will not accept nation states sponsoring terrorist organizations as that committing terrorism by proxy.
Watch and listen to the words from Fatah, the political organization representing Palestinians in the West Bank. Shouting hate violates the first on the list.
Fatah that is formerly the Palestinian Liberation Organization is a coalition of political groups representing people who identify as Palestinians. Fatah is not considered a terrorist organization because it renounced terrorism in 1988. As a result, Israel actually armed Fatah with light weapons and ammunition for the purpose of keeping peace in the West Bank where it remains in control.
Therefore, Fatah must watch its messaging because words matter.
Conversely, now is the time for Israel to reach to Fatah to try to improve economic conditions and the quality of life as a reward for moderate behavior. The balance of consequences must be clear and free world nations must never take their eye from that “organization principle” as Hillary Clinton might call it.
Good behavior must be rewarded. Bad behavior must be punished. The outcome in pursuit is peace and sustainable economies where people can live in security.
“Fatah boasts of killing Israelis even as it seeks to end fighting in Gaza

Hopes that Fatah will be a calming influence on Hamas in the effort to end the fighting in Gaza have been tempered by mixed messages the supposedly more moderate wing of Palestinian leadership is sending to its international audience and its West Bank constituents - including boasting on its
Facebook page of the number of Israelis it has killed.
In a post seemingly aimed at reminding Palestinians it hates Israel as much as Hamas, the U.S.-designated terrorist organization that governs Gaza, the Fatah party seems to take issue with the idea that it isn't doing enough to fight the Jewish state. The belligerent Facebook message - containing fabricated statistics - was posted on the official home page of Fatah’s Facebook even as representatives of the party founded by the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat were in Cairo for the peace talks.
“Listen well! To whoever does not know Fatah and argues with this giant movement:
Fatah has killed 11,000 Israelis; Fatah has sacrificed 170,000 Martyrs (Shahids)...;”
