Ubisoft had just recently announced that they would be conducting a multiplayer beta session for Far Cry 3 on the PS3 and Xbox 360 through the summer. If you are a PC gamer, you may have been wondering why the PC isn't listed, or if Ubisoft would be bringing the multiplayer beta to PC at a later date.
Sadly, it has been revealed, through contact with a Ubisoft representative, that the Far Cry 3 Multiplayer Beta will not be seeing a release on PC. Back when Far Cry was initially launched, it held its place on the PC platform. It seems that this is going to be another title that continues to stray away from its PC origins.
With this being stated, this brings me to a worrying state as to what to expect with the final PC release of this title. Personally, I would love to see a blockbuster title such as this take advantage of the superior PC hardware that is currently available and truly max this title out. But, it seems that we may not be seeing this if Ubisoft doesn't even seem to care about testing the game out on the PC platform.
