Nintendo has a strong group of loyal fans, and some of these fans are now urging Nintendo to bring Platinum Games’ Bayonetta to the Wii U. On Dec. 2, a Facebook page by the name of Operation Dead Angels began to post various social network links aimed at Nintendo of America in hopes of showing the company that Wii U fans want to play Bayonetta before its sequel is released.
As you may recall, Nintendo announced that Bayonetta 2 would be an exclusive title for Wii U. The title is expected to see release in 2014.
This rally all stared when Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya posted a tweet several weeks ago confirming that he has desire to bring and release Bayonetta on Wii U. Furthermore, he expressed that the game could be ported and released before Bayonetta 2 saw release.
Many gamers didn’t experience the wonder of the first Bayonetta, so a release of the original would certainly create hype and excitement for the sequel.
Operation Dead Angels began on the NeoGAF game forums and quickly escalated to a much larger scale. Gamers have taken to Twitter to show their support and to encourage Nintendo to green light the Bayonetta Wii U port. Likewise, Miiverse is being flooded with posts asking for Bayonetta.
This operation is far beyond the scope of a petition. It is a public demonstration from Nintendo fans and Wii U owners that have a strong passion and desire to see one of the best action/adventure games to be released on Wii U.
Since the start of Operation Dead Angels, there have been dozens of Miiverse posts expressing interest in seeing Bayonetta on Wii U. Many of the Miiverse posts have hundreds of ‘Yeahs’.
Earthbound was released on the North American Wii U Virtual Console thanks to Miiverse and the North American Wii U fan base asking for it.
