According to Sunday's WISN News, a Milwaukee, Wis., family is reaching out to the public for help with finding their missing dog, who is a constant companion to their paralyzed son.
Fox 6 News, reported that the one-year-old pit bull, named "Shi Shi," disappeared on May 20. The dog's guardian, Valetta Bradford, told Fox 6:
“By the time that we went to give her breakfast, which is not even 5 minutes, she’s gone,”
“I’m calling, calling, calling…nothing. We were walking the blocks, we were 6 blocks away.”
Shi Shi is more than just a friend to nine-year-old Xzavier, who was paralyzed after being struck by a driver who was texting; the dog helps him with opening doors and even alerts his parents when he struggles to breathe.
She is his dog, that is her job. Whoever took this dog has to understand this dog is extremely important to this family,”
The family believes that their dog was stolen. Anyone who has information about Shi Shi is asked to contact the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control at: 414- 649-8640.
