Evolutionary argument for Christianity or, why Atheists should convert

If there is no God and Atheistic Evolution is true—if life, the universe and everything just happens to have happened, uncaused and by a random series of unguided and goalless accidents—then how did theism come about?

Evolutionary argument for Christianity or, why Atheists should convert
Fair use, to illustrate article's context.

If nature can be anthropomorphically said to care about anything; it cares only for survival. It cares not for truth but only survival. The point is that in nature there is no imperative to ascertain empirical truth.

Certainly, one can survive by ascertaining empirical truth but one can also survive whilst being utterly deluded. Also certain is that in certain circumstances ascertaining empirical truth would be an advantage but still; it is not an imperative.

In fact—and please pardon the lack of citation as this proceeds forth solely from the ol' memory banks—I recall a news report about one of the recent tsunamis wherein a very primitive villager warned his coastal dwelling tribe to move inland because the sea had not taken anyone in some time and it was hungry.
That he wrongly anthropomorphized the sea is utterly irrelevant as the point is that the villagers got out of Dodge and survived.

On the Atheistic Evolutionist view; theism came about due to a random mutation which caused belief in something that does not exist, something unreal and thus delusional, to become an evolutionary advantage.

Subsequently, this delusion became the very core theists’ worldviews, actions, etc. The random mutation resulted in such a successful Darwinian survival mechanism advantage. This resulted in the overwhelming majority of the planet’s population (regardless of chronology, geography or theology) being theists; they do not survive successfully despite their delusion but because of it.

The New Atheist movement has popularized the concept of Atheist proselytizing which attempts to get theists to convert to Atheism (as Atheist claim to possess the one and only truth).

Some Atheists of the proselytizing sort, such as Richard Dawkins, have attempted to become the unnatural selectors and demand that humanity leave behind its most effective survival mechanism, theism, in favor of Atheism—they literally believe that they are more evolved than thou.

Dawkins, Sam Harris, et al. claim that religion has become too dangerous and humanity’s survival is threatened by it. Here is an example of such a statement from Richard Dawkins:

"Imagine, with John Lennon, a world with no religion. Imagine no suicide bombers, no 9/11, no 7/7, no Crusades, no witch-hunts, no Gunpowder Plot, no Indian partition (religious riots between Hindus and Muslims where more than a million people were massacred), no Israeli/Palestinian wars, no Serb/Croat/Muslim massacres, no persecution of Jews as 'Christ-killers', no Northern Ireland 'troubles', no 'honour killings', no shiny-suited bouffant-haired televangelists fleecing gullible people of their money ('God wants you to give till it hurts'). Imagine no Taliban to blow up ancient statues, no public beheadings of blasphemers, no flogging of female skin for the crime of showing an inch of it."

Fellow Atheist Michael Shermer, editor of Skeptic Magazine, wrote a common sensual reply to this notion:

"I am not convinced by Dawkins's argument that without religion there would be 'no suicide bombers, no 9/11, no 7/7, no Crusades, no witch-hunts, no Gunpowder Plot, no Indian partition, no Israeli/Palestinian wars, no Serb/Croat/Muslim massacres, no persecution of Jews as 'Christ-killers,' no Northern Ireland 'troubles'….' In my opinion, many of these events-and others often attributed solely to religion by atheists-were less religiously motivated than politically driven, or at the very least involved religion in the service of political hegemony."

The Encyclopedia of Wars (New York: Facts on File, 2005) was compiled by nine history professors who specifically conducted research for the text for a decade in order to chronicle 1,763 wars.

The survey of wars covers a time span from 8000 BC to 2003 AD.

From over 10,000 years of war 123 wars, which is 6.98 percent, are considered to have been religious wars (moreover, half of those involved Islam).

By consulting the hyperlinks above it you will readily discern that those who did “Imagine, with John Lennon, a world with no religion” are responsible for atrocities on the level to which religious wars could not even dream reaching.

In short, given, granting, an Atheistic Evolutionary view of life, the universe and everything; Atheists should logically convert to theism. Moreover, since the majority religion on the planet is Christianity, Atheists should convert to Christianity as it is the most successful result of random mutation inspired Darwinian mechanism survival advantage.
