Eureka! Las Vegas High Roller Ferris Wheel to debut March 31

Monday March 31,2014...a date that will live in infamy (apparently). The much anticipated, cussed, and delayed opening date of the High Roller observation / Ferris wheel in Las Vegas will happen tomorrow according to several Vegas insider sources within the past 48 hours (Vital Vegas, Vegas Chatter, and the Las Vegas Advisor).

Caesars Entertainment obtained an official operating permit late last week for one of the most anticipated Las Vegas attractions in recent history. We have posted several erroneous debut dates for this thing during the last 3 months...it appears tomorrow may actually be the big deal day.

Caesars Entertainment employees have been taking rides on the wheel all weekend long, and it's been reported that several fortuitous street patrons have been and will be offered rides on the High Roller for free through Sunday night. That'll cause a street jam, eventually.

The 550-ft tall High Roller is marketed as the world's tallest observation wheel and features 28 pod cabins that hold up to 40 passengers each. Costs for the ride will vary between $25 and $35 depending on time of day when ridden. Each ride will involve one full revolution of the massive wheel and will last about 30 minutes. Rides will apparently be offered up until 2 A.M. daily. Check out our previously published articles linked below for more details about this newest Las Vegas attraction that is the focal point of the Caesars Entertainment LINQ project located mid-Strip.

Cheers...finally...maybe...seven- come- eleven
