While hunting the aisles of Krogers and Walmart in the Bellevue area yielded little in the way of Easter Barbie dolls this year, a trip to Target at Nashville West presented a pleasant surprise. New this year are three cute little dolls named Chelsea, a little older than Kelly and the same age as the So In Style younger siblings.
These little Chelsea dolls sport bunny ears and Easter baskets and come in three hair colors: blonde, red, and black. Each doll is dressed slightly differently and each doll comes with painted pastel "tights." The dolls are only available at Target and were not only on sale for $4.99, but were buy one, get one half off the day I was there.
While at Walmart, I did find a Chelsea doll in the spring assortment holding a blue bunny and wearing a rabbit print dress, but the doll was $7 -- a sorry comparison to the cute dolls and low prices I found at the Nashville West Target.
The cute little Mattel Chelsea dolls not only fill a gap left by no Easter Barbies, but she also fills the age gap between Barbie's younger sisters, Kelly and Stacey.
