EA announces "The Sims 3: Supernatural" (Photos)

It's no surprise that EA is getting ready to release yet another PC expansion pack for its run away hit The Sims 3, though it may be a surprise to many that it wont involve weather or seasonal changes. Something many fans were expecting.

No, this upcoming expansion, entitled The Sims 3: Supernatural, will be featuring werewolves, witches, wizards, fairies and other magical entities, however. Not to mention a brand new neighborhood, Moonlight Falls.

Players can tap into their Sims magical abilites by learning how to cast spells and find rare ingredients for brewing elixirs, fly a broomstick around town, and even hire a skeletal maid.

This expansion will make it lucky number 7 for The Sims 3, discounting the numerous stuffpacks that have been released over the course of the last three years. However, it's been suggested that there will be more expansions to come before officially being retired and developer Maxis moves on to creating The Sims 4. And we all know there will be a Sims 4.

For now though, we'll focus on The Sims 3 and this upcoming Supernatural expansion, which is schedueled for a September 4th, 2012 release. You can check out the trailer and first ever screenshots over to the left.
