Duck Dynasty fans were proud of the reality show cast on Wednesday night. Many of the fans were watching the Robertson clan on A&E as Uncle Si sniffed gas, but it was the action in Washington that got the attention of the masses. Willie and Korie Robertson were honored by the Angels in Adoption Program and given a special award for their help in personally raising awareness in the adoption and foster care process.
“Proud and humbled to receive the Angels of Adoption Award @CCAInstitute,” tweeted Korie Robertson from her official Twitter account on Wednesday. The reality star included a picture of the event so fans could check out the moment.
Ever wonder just how sincere the Robertson’s are about their family and being true to their values? Well, the admission of Willie Robertson on Wednesday will have fans everywhere realizing they really are the same in life as on television. Apparently, the couple had to skip watching Duck Dynasty on television and Willie didn't even get to see his staff make the jerky at the shop before the fans.
“Honestly I never saw episode. I'll watch it when I get home. Sounded funny. Love me some Jerky,” tweeted Willie Robertson from his official Twitter account. “Rare miss on episode tonite. In Wash DC trying to get this gov going. Thanks to Angels of Adoption for award tonight.”
If a reality star is willing to forego watching their own show to be a part of something bigger, like the Robertson’s did at the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute gathering, that’s really quite impressive. Then again, few have doubted the sincerity of the Robertson family.
