On Saturday authorities in Las Vegas released the identification of the innocent taxi driver and passenger who were killed during Thursday's Las Vegas shooting and crash when rapper Kenneth Cherry's Maserati crashed into their taxi.

It was at 4:20 a.m. when Cherry's Maserati, a $120,000 silver sports car, crashed into the taxi causing it to burst into flames killing Sandi Sutton-Wasmund, 48, who was the mother of three teenage children, Austin, 17, Sarah, 12 and Hunter 11. Her husband James is said to be devastated by his loss.

She was known in her community for having had survived breast cancer twice. She was in Las Vegas for a trade show to buy clothes for her co-owned shop The Dazzled Dame.

A statement was released on behalf of Sutton-Wasmund on Saturday saying, "Sandi was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. Her innocent and tragic loss will be felt by all those who knew and loved her and by the community at large. Her family appreciates the outpouring of love and support."

The taxi driver who was also killed in the crash and identified as Michael Boldon, 62, who had moved to Las Vegas to care for his 93-year-old mother. Those that knew the taxi driver said he was very funny and full of laughter and everybody liked him.

Cherry, 27, was reportedly an up and coming rapper who was shot dead in his Maserati during the shooting by passengers of a black Range Rover SUV. Police said on Saturday they are still hunting for the gunman who is armed and dangerous.

Investigators have said they believe the incident happened after a fight in the valet area of the Aria Resort and Casino following a rap concert at the hotel.

Cherry was in Las Vegas to pursue his music career had recently posted two music videos on YouTube. In one of his video's, he sings about hiding a pistol in his Maserati.

This incident is eerily similar to what happened in 1992 when rapper Tupac Shakur was gunned down by a drive-by shooting on the Las Vegas strip.
