The third annual Dover International Speedway v. Pocono Raceway Celebrity Softball Game will be held Wednesday, April 30th in York, Pennsylvania, at the home of the York Revolution. Celebrity captains for the match-up will be Hendrick Motorsports No. 5 driver Kasey Kahne (Team Pocono) and Ganassi Racing No. 1 driver Jamie McMurray (Team Dover).
The softball series is currently tied at one game each, with Team Pocono earning a come-from-behind victory in the inaugural game in 2012 and Team Dover getting a walk-off win in 2013.
In addition to Kahne and McMurray, team rosters will consist of members of national and local motorsports media as well as other local media personalities and a few special guests. As rosters are announced, they will be posted and updated at www.doverspeedway.com and www.poconoraceway.com, as well as on each track’s Facebook pages and Twitter feeds.
Admission to the celebrity softball game is free with a ticket to that night’s baseball game between the Revolution and the Lancaster Barnstormers. Tickets start at just $8, and all children ages 12 and younger that wear NASCAR gear will receive free admission. For tickets, call 717-801-4478 or visit www.yorkrevolution.com.
Gates for the celebrity game will open at 4 p.m. ET with the event beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET. Following the softball game, time permitting, Kahne and McMurray will throw out the first pitch for that evening’s 7 p.m. ET baseball game between the Revolution and Barnstormers. Throughout the games, both tracks will be promoting and giving away tickets to their upcoming Sprint Cup Series races: Sunday, June 1st at Dover and Sunday, June 8th at Pocono.
