Dos Maderas PX (5+5) is a rare triple-aged rum born and aged five years in the Caribbean and then sailed to Spain for an additional five years of aging in sherry casks.

is enhanced by two additional caskings in sherry barrels.
This unique rum originates from aged rum stocks of Barbados and Guyana. The rums are then shipping to wine and spirits company Williams & Humbert in Jerez, Spain. The second maturing interval features three years in sherry casks used to age the award-winning "Dos Cortados" Palo Cortado sherry. The third aging step features another two years in casks used for the exquisite 20 year old "Don Guido" Pedro Ximénez sherry.
The tremendous care and dedication to the art of maturing fine rums is evident in the deep, mahogany color of this luxury aged rum. A complex aroma of molasses is accented with the sherry notes and burnt sugar. The flavors of rich caramel, honey, raisins, figs and prunes are highlighted among the complex notes of honey and vanilla. The finish is richly rewarding, ultra-smooth and long lasting.
Dos Maderas PX is best enjoyed in a snifter or tasting glass. A few drops of water enhance the notes of vanilla and spice.
This fine luxury rum earned a Gold Award at the RumXP International Tasting Competition at the Miami Rum Renaissance Festival.
Dos Maderas rums are created by Bodegas Williams and Humbert, with a well-earned reputation for more than a century of fine wines, sherries, brandies and other spirits.

My husband bought this rum for our brother in-law who was going to Afganistan and they loved it but we have not been able to find it since. He didn't buy the PX but I'm sure he'll still love it. any idea where I might find it around Canada?
This is an absolutely lovely rum. Subtle undertones of pecan, honey, and vanilla. I enjoy it both in a snifter, and on the rocks.
Dos Maderas 5+5 has become my 'go to' rum.
