According to a January 16, 2014 E! News report, Cyrus and Lutz are not really hanging out anymore because of "hectic schedules at the moment."
Apparently, their "quick fling just kind of burned out."
Although the two were spotted making out in Las Vegas and Miami, it seemed like they were keeping it casual. As E! News sources reported, they were just having fun, and were not looking for anything long-term.
This month, the "Legend of Hercules" star has been hitting the media circuits to address the romance rumors. In a January 6 interview with Ryan Seacrest, he called the rumors "hilarious," and explained that they were just friends who traveled in the same circles.
Then on January 7, he told E! News that he was "single and very focused on work."
However, on January 13, a Hollywood Life report suggested that Lutz was only denying the dating rumors as a form of damage control because Cyrus had actually turned him down.
It's not likely the "Wrecking Ball" singer will enter a serious relationship anytime soon. In a December 2013 interview with Barbara Walters, she reflected on her breakup with Liam Hemsworth, and the process of learning how to be single again.
As she explained, "I was so scared of ever being alone, and I think, conquering that fear, this year, was actually bigger than any other transition that I had, this entire year. I don’t ever want to have to need someone again, where you feel like, without them, you can’t be yourself."
Do you think there is a future possibility of a romance between Miley Cyrus and Kellan Lutz? Or has that ship sailed for good?
