Pre-ordering will net gamers a “diverse sampling” of Destiny’s activities and features starting spring 2014 for the PlayStation 4, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg called Destiny not only a must-have action game but the “next great entertainment property.”
“That means we’re putting all our creative support, and all our expertise in creating blockbuster franchises, into a colossal Destiny Beta that we believe will set a new bar for the next generation of games,” Hirshberg said. “Fans have a lot to look forward to in 2014.”
Redemption codes for the Destiny Beta will be distributed by retailers via a receipt or a flyer at purchase or via an email.
Gamers need to take the required 9-digit entry code and plug it in to the Destiny Beta website in order to secure a spot, and the faster the better the preview will only be available until supplies last.
Pre-orders made before Oct. 1 that qualify for the offer will be automatically entered into the beta and will get an email with an entry code from the retailer he or she used.
Destiny drops for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 sometime in 2014.
