Democrats ignore polls, force partisan deal through Senate

Despite the overwhelming majority of Americans consistently demanding significant cuts in the left's rampant, blatantly unconstitutional deficit spending, Democrats, bent on sabotaging the fiscal cliff talks with the most outrageously in-your-face partisan offers possible (so Republicans can be blamed when negotiations fail), have forced through an eleventh-hour Senate deal obviously designed to insult and provoke the Republican-controlled House.

It is composed almost entirely of job-killing class warfare attacks on job-creators ($620 billion in tax hikes on 'the rich'), along with more dependence-creating nanny state spending on, for example, extending government-funded joblessness (unemployment) for another full year.

When all is said and done, after all the bogus gimmicks and sleight of hand are worked through, the net spending cuts total a mere $15 billion. That's $1 in spending cuts for every $41 in tax hikes.
