Demi Lovato lives in sober house; Lovatics say 'We believe and support you'

Demi Lovato fans (who are nicknamed Lovatics) have flooded the Internet with messages of support on January 11, 2013, when news broke that she has been living in a sober house with other recovering addicts in the Los Angeles area instead of her own home. According to TMZ, Lovato made the decision to live in the sober house (a designated residence for recovering addicts who get counseling and want to stay sober) after getting out of rehab, and she has been in living in a sober house for "more than a year."

Lovato famously checked into rehab in late 2010. She has gone public with her recovery from substance abuse, eating disorders and self-harming. Lovato has also said in many interviews that she is bipolar. She has hinted in interviews that she has relapsed after she got out of rehab, but she has been vague about when those relapse(s) happened.

When the news broke that Lovato has been living in a sober house, the hashtags "Lovatics Are With You Demi" and "Demi We Believe and Support You" became trending topics worldwide on Twitter on January 11, 2013.

On January 3, 2013, Lovato announced that she was taking a break from Twitter because "I hate gossip sites."

She was a no-show at the 2013 People's Choice Awards on January 9. Lovato was nominated for three awards at the show, and she won the prize for Favorite Celebrity Judge. (That category was not shown on TV.)

No explanation was given for her absence, but there is speculation that she was busy working on her next album. As previously reported, there were paparazzi photos of Lovato going into a Los Angeles recording studio. British girl group The Saturdays were recording at the same studio, which led to reports that Lovato is collaborating with The Saturdays on a song.

In May 2012, Lovato and Britney Spears joined "The X Factor" U.S. as a replacement for fired judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. There are ongoing rumors that Lovato is going to be fired from the show, but representatives for the show are currently refusing to comment on any changes that the show is making in 2013. Lovato and her representatives are also not commenting on whether or not she's going to remain an "X factor" judge.

Insiders say that Britney Spears (judge) and Khloe Kardashian (co-host) will definitely not be asked back on the show in 2013. Antonio "L.A." Reid (judge) quit "The X Factor" U.S. in December 2012 because he said he wanted to spend more time on his main job as chairman/CEO of Epic Records.

As of now, "The X Factor" executive producer Simon Cowell is the only judge who is confirmed to be on the show in 2013.

"The X Factor" U.S. won the prize of Favorite Competition TV Show at the 2013 People's Choice Awards, but the category was not shown on TV either. None of the stars from "The X Factor" was at the ceremony.
