A Daily Word from the Word for Thursday, December 5, 2013
“You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” - Job 22:28
The Hebrew word for “declare,” as used in this verse is gazar (pr. gaw-zar) which means “to decree, decide” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance). Webster’s Dictionary defines “decree” as “a foreordaining will”; with “foreordaining” defined as “to dispose or appoint in advance.”
In God, every promise is “Yes,” and “Amen,” setting His Word above His Name (2 Corinthians 1:20, Psalm 138:2). The Creator has already spoken everything into existence, and has provided His Word as our substance of faith. We need only to come into agreement with what our Holy God has already spoken and established; and stand on His Word, which contains every one of His promises, and call in that which the Father decreed before He laid the foundation of the world.
Isaiah 55:10-11 testifies of this truth as it decrees: “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
December is a special month of decrees and declarations for the sons and daughters of the Most Faithful Father. So start decreeing, my brothers and sisters! Start calling in your promise! For the Promise of all promises, Jesus Christ, was delivered to us and for this purpose.
Father, we thank You that You speak to us every second of every day, and we thank You that we hear Your voice clearly, accurately, and loudly, and the voice of a stranger we will not follow (John 10:5). We thank You that You seal our instructions within our spirits, by your Holy Spirit, throughout the night; and that you flood us with Your Divinely-rich revelation (Job 33:14-17). And we thank You that we walk in the fullness of the plan, purpose, and promise that You spoke uniquely into each and every one of us before You laid the foundation of the world. We thank You that there is never any sorrow added to walking in the fullness of our God-given Divine Destiny and Kingdom Eternal Purpose. We say, as Mary said ‘let your Word be done unto us’ (Luke 1:38). We bless You, and we praise Your Holy Name. In Jesus Name, we thank You in advance for what You are about to do because what we have asked is good and pleasing to You, and according to Your Perfect Will. Amen and Amen!
Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to start confessing the Word of God out of your mouth throughout the day. Make a habit of decreeing and declaring the promises of God, which are found in His Holy Book. Choose to wake up and go to bed each night in agreement with God’s Word concerning you, your family, and your life. And continue to fight the good fight of working out with the Word; for God, your Divine Dictionary, has already given you the victory!
If you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do it today, right now, by saying this prayer out loud: “Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I am sorry. I truly desire to be saved and reconciled back to God, my Father, through You. I receive Your sinless Blood as payment in full for my sins—past, present, and future. I now call You my Lord and Savior, and invite You to live within my heart, and to permanently live within me. I make You Lord over me and over my life from this moment on. Amen.” Congratulations! You are now a child of God, made whole and made new, by the Blood of Jesus Christ!
