Deasy's goals are now revenue, increasing number of students, not performance

"Los Angeles Unified schools Supt. John Deasy has a newly modified contract that includes an annual buyout of unused vacation days and new performance measures that require him to bring in revenue and enroll more students."

LAUSD is no longer about student performance or graduation rates.

It's about revenue. The more students enrolled, the more money that the state gives LAUSD.

That's it! It's a business with the bottom line being revenue.

Who cares about the students, the teachers or the conditions of the schools?

Not the board. Not the superintendent. Not the downtown administrators.

Wait until this pressure comes from the Sup and the Board to the Principals who then apply it to the teachers!

Watch out students and parents!
