Activision released a new batch of screenshots Monday for the "Deadpool" game coming to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year. Watch as the "Merc with the Mouth" plays with one-time partner Cable and see some additional artwork that confirms the presence of Death.
For those unfamiliar, Deadpool teamed up with Cable for a run in a 50 issue run of the "Cable & Deadpool" comic where the future son of X-Men Scott Summers and Jean Grey played the straight man to Wade Wilson's psychotic antics. While Deadpool is a little uncontrollable, Cable knows how to manipulate the mercenary just enough to point him in the right direction.
Meanwhile, in the Marvel universe, Death embodies the end of life and is probably best known as the main crush of Thanos, the Titan who seeks to wipe out all life. Deadpool encountered the entity through the numerous near-death experiences that his healing factor afforded him and, being Deadpool, hit on her. How High Moon Studios will weave Death into the story remains to be seen but they appear to be cramming as many major cameo appearances into "Deadpool" as they can.
"Deadpool" is scheduled to come out sometime in 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
