Activision community Manager Dan Amrich confirmed the news on Twitter that the licenses for Marvel titles have run out not only for his company by Capcom as well. As a result, titles like Deadpool, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and many more have now been delisted on digital stores. Additionally, the physical stock that retailers have now is all that will be left.
Deadpool is possibly the most surprising game that has been pulled as the High Moon Studios developed title for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC was released just last June. However, this does not affect the recently released LEGO Marvel Super Heroes or Activision's license on The Amazing Spider-Man.
Those interested in picking up any of these titles should check out Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and other retailers before they are gone for good. If you have already purchased any of these games digitally for the console or PC, they can still be re-downloaded.
