‘Dark Souls 2’ pre-order now available; website contains ‘Dark Souls’ Easter Egg

Amazon today opened their pre-order page for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the upcoming multiplatform title, “Dark Souls 2.” The online retailer currently has the role-playing game priced at $59.99, which is the standard price for a high-definition video game. It also has a placeholder date of Dec. 31, 2013. You can check out some screens from the sequel in the slideshow at the top of this article and the pre-order page from in the following links:

Namco Bandai Games also opened the official website for “Dark Souls 2.” Among entering the site, users will find an artwork of the game in addition to an animated pendant swinging back and forth. Fans of the series will recognize the item from the first “Dark Souls” game as one of the free gifts they get to chose from when creating their characters in the beginning.

In addition to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, “Dark Souls 2” will also be released for the PC platform.
